Spring 2008 Sunday School Schedule

Sunday School classes meet from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.  The Spring Quarter begins on March 2 and ends on May 25.  Sunday School classes will not meet on Easter Sunday, March 23.  That morning the Fellowship Team will host a carry-in Easter brunch at 9:45 a.m., in Fellowship Hall.

Discipleship 201.  Not limited to those of you who completed 101.  This video-based study will address strategies for living a Christian life in a secular world.  We will be covering two sets of studies by popular author and speaker Andy Stanley:  Life Rules and Breakaway.  Room 305.    Led by Kathy Beekman and Pat Youther.

Genesis.  Everything has to start somewhere.  This spring, we are starting at the beginning, the beginning of the Bible, that is.  This study of the first book of the Bible will continue into the summer quarter.  Room 301. Led by Pastor David Brown, Jo-Ann Hague, Cecilia Mehaffie, William Nahhas, and Dave Wickham.

Great Christian Writers Series:  G. K. Chesterton.  Now for something completely different:  A giant of the faith in early 20th century England, G. K. Chesterton was a friend and adversary of such secular cultural leaders as George Bernard Shaw.  We will be alternating studies of some of Chesterton’s delightful Father Brown detective stories (and, yes, they have a spiritual message) with sessions on his apologetics, theology, and general philosophy.  Room 311.  Led by Charlie Youther.

The Road to Financial Freedom.  Another way to approach an important topic.  Kurt Braun continues his well-received series of studies on personal financial management from a Christian perspective.  This study will alternate video presentations with classroom sessions, using materials from Crown Financial Ministries.  Room 307.  Led by Kurt Braun.

Contact Pat Youther, Director of Christian Education, at 426-8292 for more information on these Sunday morning classes or Kirkmont’s Christian education program.

But if anyone obeys His word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in Him:  Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did.

1 John 2:5-6

Young Adults Sunday School

The Young Adult Sunday School class will be studying Searching for God Knows What, by Donald Miller. Join us as we explore the countless ways that we try to fix our brokenness. Through Biblical teaching and engaging stories, Donald Miller will help us find the fix we have been seeking – redemption. This class is led by Kate Youther and meets in the Conference Room each Sunday at 9:30 AM. Plan to join us!
