Tim & Marta Carriker

Organization: Independent Presbyterian Church of Brazil (IPIB)

Ministry Location: Brazil

Ministry Work: Both Tim and Marta teach at the Missionary Training Center in Florianopolis. In addition, Tim teaches at two seminaries and serves on the board of the Caiua Indian Mission. Marta also does translating and editing for IPIB.

Christian & Louise Grandouiller

Organization: Wycliffe Bible Translators

Ministry Location: Niger

Ministry Work: Christian is translating the Bible into the Tamajaq language and Louise helps to develop literacy materials (Having the Word of God in their own language is useless if most of the people cannot read).

Tony & Tsering Malik

Organization: Global Outreach Mission

Ministry Location: India, Nepal

Ministry Work: Tony & Tsering support new churches in Nepal and a couple of Christian schools in India. In addition, they run a Tibetan Resource and Training Center in the Himalayas to help other missionaries who are also ministering to refugees from Tibet.

Aziz & Heather Nahhas

Organization: Great Commission Ministries

Ministry Location: Ohio State University

Ministry Work: Aziz works with international students through small group ministries to help them grow spiritually through discipleship, evangelism and leadership development. Heather is seeking to develop relationships with some key women in these small groups. Together they plan many events to help these foreign students learn about and survive in our American culture. Aziz is also an elder/pastor at a church for OSU students called Mosaic.

John & Ruth Purvis

Organization: Church Discipleship Ministries (The Navigators)

Ministry Location: Denver

Ministry Work: After many years of campus ministry at the University of Wisconsin, John & Ruth have moved to Denver, Colorado. John now works with pastors and church leaders to help them understand the Biblical plan of discipleship and to implement it within their congregations.

Tom & Emily Salisbury

Organization: JAARS (Wycliffe Bible Translators)

Ministry Location: Peru

Ministry Work: Tom & Emily recently returned to the United States after many years in Peru. They are now serving at the JAARS headquarters in North Carolina. Tom manages the Construction and Maintenance Department. Emily continues to serve as the Funding Coordinator for the Peru operations. She prepares budget reports and writes funding proposals for the missionaries in the field.

John & Karen Winkelman

Organization: FamilyLife (Campus Crusade for Christ)

Ministry Location: Little Rock

Ministry Work: John has spent the past several years recruiting new staff members for FamilyLife. He has just started in a new position on the Volunteer Training and Relations Team. He trains volunteers around the country to promote and pray for FamilyLife marriage conferences.

Note: Two of the families that Kirkmont supports serve in nations that are not friendly to Christian missionaries. These families have visas to do other professional work and then share the good news about Jesus in their free time.

Ministry Location: India

Ministry Work: These part-time missionaries travel to northern India for several months each year. They support local ministries which start Christian schools, plant house churches, and provide medical mission support. One of their primary services is to provide community health education to volunteers from the mountain villages.

Ministry Work: Language surveyors study different tribal dialects to determine which ones are similar enough that they could share a Bible translation and which ones are in need of their own translation project.
